Rescuing Pets in Louisiana

ARFP volunteers recently returned from working with Noah's Wish to rescue animals affected by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in Slidell, LA. They brought back with them stories both sad and heartwarming, and the pictures you see here. And ARFP volunteers also brought back two lucky dogs that were rescued in Louisiana and are now receiving medical care in Greensboro.

The first goal of Noah's Wish and animal rescuers in a situation like Hurricane Katrina is to reunite pets with their families. But when their owners have no home to go to and have no choice but to surrender their pets, groups like ARFP can step in to help these four-legged victims find new homes.
