Drink Beer and Save Homeless Pets!

With puppy and kitten season in full swing, ARFP is all about fundraising, and this event is sure to be one of our most FUN ever! On Thursday, April 27, 2017, BeerThirty at 505 N. Greene St. in Greensboro will be hosting ARFP from 5-9 PM to help us raise money to pay for medical costs for our foster puppies and kittens. We’ll have some four-legged friends for you to meet, a silent auction with awesome things you can bid on, and — of course — BEER! Mark your calendars, because this is one FUNdraiser you won’t want to miss!

Skip the Cooking and Help Save Pets with ARFP and McAlister’s!

It’s time once again for dinner at McAlister’s! On Monday, April 24, 2017, bring the attached flyer to McAlister’s Deli on Highwoods Blvd in Greensboro from 5-9 PM, and McAlister’s will donate a percentage of the sale to ARFP.

Kitten and puppy season is here, which means more medical expenses as we get these homeless pets healthy, vaccinated, and ready to go to their forever homes. So skip the cooking on April 24, and help us save more puppies and kittens!

Dining Out for the Rescue at Chipotle!

Are you ready for a night of no cooking?  How about a night of no dishes?  Join ARFP and Chipotle for a yummy dinner out!  Visit the Chipotle at 5402 Sapp Road (Greensboro) between 5 and 9pm on Tuesday, April 18th.  Show the flyer above to the cashier, and ARFP will receive 50% of the proceeds!

Please ask your friends and family to join you.  See you tomorrow night!

Join ARFP for the Human Race!

April 16, 2016 is the 22nd Annual Human Race, a 5k walk/run put on by the Greensboro Volunteer Center to help local charities raise money for their causes. ARFP volunteers have walked in the Human Race every year, since the very beginning — 21 years! And this year is no different.

BUT…

We need more people to sign up to walk! So far we’ve got 10 people signed up to walk and raise money on behalf of ARFP. We’re hoping to get at least 25, but more would be even better!

This is an important fundraiser for us and goes a long way toward covering the medical bills for the homeless puppies and kittens in our program. Their adoption fees only cover a small portion of their medical costs, so we need fundraisers like the Human Race to help us keep saving homeless pets. Especially with puppy and kitten season just around the corner.

Check out ARFP’s Human Race page to learn more about registering to join us for this great fundraiser or to sponsor one of the walkers on our team.

ARFP at the Antique Market Place

On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Antique Market Place in Greensboro, NC, will be holding an antiques appraisal. You know, the MASSIVE antique mall you see as you drive down I-40. They’ll have knowledgeable appraisers on site between 11 AM and 2 PM this Saturday, and you can get your antiques appraised for $6 per item. Better yet, all the proceeds go to ARFP, to help us save more homeless pets!

We’ll be there, too, with the dogs and puppies in our program who are looking for good homes. So even if you don’t have any antiques that need to be appraised, you can still come out to browse and maybe find a great new forever friend!

The cats and kittens in our program will be holding down the fort at the NSAC, so if cats are more your style you can visit them at our adoption center between 11 AM and 3 PM. All the dogs will be busy antiquing at the Antique Market Place, though!

The Antique Market Place is located at 6428 Burnt Poplar Road, Greensboro, NC. For more information, visit http://www.triadantiques.com/.
