It’s Purse Sale Time!

Saturday, September 21, 2018, is our fall purse & shoe sale. As usual, the sale is being held at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church at 4216 Wayne Rd in Greensboro. Doors open at 8 AM and the sale runs until 1 PM.

As always, you’ll find a lot more than just purses! We’ve got luggage, bookbags, backpacks — all kinds of bags!

And don’t forget the shoes! Men’s, women’s, and children’s!

LuLaRoe will also be in the house so you can find a new outfit (or two!) to go with your new-to-you accessories.

Proceeds from this event go to ARFP and Loving Pet Inn Adoptions to help both groups find good homes for homeless pets.

Summertime Brewsfest & NSAC Closure

The NSAC will be closed on Saturday, July 28, 2018, as our volunteers haul ice, check IDs, and do everything else necessary to keep this year’s Summertime Brewsfest running smoothly.

We’ll be back at the NSAC on Sunday, July 29, with puppies and kittens for you to fall in love with!

Purse and Shoe Sale

Our February 2018 purse and shoe sale is coming up this weekend!

The sneak peek preview sale will be Friday night from 6-8 pm at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church at 4216 Wayne Rd in Greensboro. It’s $10 to get in to the Sneak Peek sale, which not only gets you first crack at all the purses, bags, and shoes we have for sale, but also gets you beverages and hors d’oeuvres to keep you going strong while you shop!

Saturday’s sale starts at 8 am and goes until 1 pm. There’s no charge to get into the sale on Saturday — which means you’ll have even more money to spend on bags and shoes!

LuLaRoe will also be in the house both days with their super comfy clothes — perfect for finding a new outfit (or two!) to go with your new accessories.

As always, proceeds from the shoe and purse sale benefit ARFP and Loving Pet Inn Adoptions, to help both groups rescue and provide medical care for more homeless pets.

Bark for Life

This Saturday, November 14, 2015, ARFP will be at the American Cancer Society’s Bark for Life event in Greensboro, NC. We’ll be there with information about who ARFP is and what we do, T-shirts and pets toys for sale, and of course some of our amazing foster pups who are looking for homes!

The event is being held near Shelter #1 in Country Park and goes from 9 AM until 12:30 PM. Opening ceremonies are at 10 AM, with a survivor lap at 10:15 AM. Closing ceremonies are at 12:30 PM.

ARFP at the Antique Market Place

On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Antique Market Place in Greensboro, NC, will be holding an antiques appraisal. You know, the MASSIVE antique mall you see as you drive down I-40. They’ll have knowledgeable appraisers on site between 11 AM and 2 PM this Saturday, and you can get your antiques appraised for $6 per item. Better yet, all the proceeds go to ARFP, to help us save more homeless pets!

We’ll be there, too, with the dogs and puppies in our program who are looking for good homes. So even if you don’t have any antiques that need to be appraised, you can still come out to browse and maybe find a great new forever friend!

The cats and kittens in our program will be holding down the fort at the NSAC, so if cats are more your style you can visit them at our adoption center between 11 AM and 3 PM. All the dogs will be busy antiquing at the Antique Market Place, though!

2015 Purse & Shoe Sale Fundraiser

ARFPFall2015PurseSale Shoe&PursesNeededMark your calendars! Our Fall Purse & Shoe Sale will be held September 19, 2015, at Sedgefield Presbyterian Church on Wayne Road in Greensboro. We’re doing this fundraiser with Loving Pet Inn Adoptions, and it’s sure to be an event not to miss!

Spread the word that we are now collecting purses and shoes. They can be dropped off at 711 Milner Drive in Greensboro anytime. If the adoption center is closed, donations can be placed in the bins by the front door.

And be sure to let your friends, family, and co-workers know about the sale! Feel free to print out the flyers above to post so you can spread the news. One for donations, and one for the sale itself.

Recycling Program Update

As of December 1, 2015, we will be ending most of our recycling program.

We will ALWAYS recycle used cell phones and used printer/toner cartridges. This has always been a good fundraiser and continues to be.

We will not continue to recycle most of the other things such as chip bags, make up, etc… This is a labor intense endeavor which has not turned out to be lucrative. We gave it a try, but it didn’t work out. Many, many thanks to Alicia Valenzuela McBirney for driving this fundraiser! What a wonderful mission, and we wish it was feasible to continue. Thank you to everyone that has participated. We will collect until December 1, 2015.
